He's Working!

Systematic Theology is a way to think about the Bible by subject. Sanctification is God forming you into what he thinks and how he sees you.

Its interesting, when you can give the People of God something when your situation isn’t ideal. Your confidence shouldn’t be  based on your location, it should be based on your dedication. Paul wrote this scripture from a jail cell:

Philippians 1:1-6

“Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus,

To all God’s holy people in Christ Jesus at Philippi, together with the overseers and deaconsGrace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

When things happen that aren’t on your calendar; we need to make sure those things don’t have the final authority in our lives. You can’t serve two systems. The system you are in is the outcome of the fruit that you eat. When life hits us we feel like its hard to hang on to who we are when what’s happening around us seems stronger than who we are.

Think about it Like a blender: things pile up before you mix it together; and there is a lid on it; but God says “wait a minute I’m working”. When it’s all chopped up and has survived the storm; it’s poured out. God wants us to be poured out, not for ourselves but for someone else! Maybe you went through all you went through to be poured out like Jesus was poured out on the cross— For Someone Else.

The wrong position is looking up; the right position is looking in where God is working. God has taken the responsibility of the process of getting us where he wants us. Why is it when things go wrong that we don’t take responsibility. The faith we profess is about truth; that we take responsibility. If we don’t think it’s our responsibility we will grow to think the world owes us something.

The Father God takes responsibility for us; he put his life on the line for us. You need to look back at where you came from. You might be in a position where you dont think or feel you are making any progress; stop judging yourself. Just like a caterpillar you are on your way to greatness; but it takes time. In everyone; you have to undergo the process so you becomes what he sees. You will never see yourself for who you are if you are looking at what you’re in. Everyone wants the butterfly; but not the caterpillar— don’t allow people to use you as the butterfly when they didn’t want you as the caterpillar.

God intends to finish everything he’s doing in your life. From the moment you said yes and experienced his love, he intends to finish the process he sees inside of you because of his love and commitment to you. Sometimes you hit the wall like in a marathon; but you keep going and get a second wind. God’s intention for you is to finish. Get your second wind from God. If he could finish his death on a cross, why wouldn’t he finish the life that he began inside of you!?
